Rental Policies

Cottage Rentals:

Groups:
Hillcrest Cottages offers 7 units accommodating groups of all sizes.

Pets:
Pets allowed in Spruce, Oak, Birch, Maple and Pine for $150/week or $25/night per pet (2 pets max.).

Cleaning:
Cleaning/laundry fees apply and vary based on the cottage. See the rates section on each Cottage page for exact charges.

What’s Included:
All units include the following: a fully stocked kitchen, microwave, and coffee maker, flat-screen TV with DirecTV, wi-fi, bed linens, picnic table, charcoal grill, fire pit, and firewood. Resort guests also have access to a canoe & kayaks.
*NOTE: Towels, beach towels, toilet paper, paper towels, and other paper products are NOT included.

Seasons:
Peak Season: June - August/Off-Peak: Sept - May

Deposits:
Hillcrest Cottages accepts reservations by several means including; Phone, E-mail, In-Person, Mail, or our online reservation forms. Reservations are confirmed on a first-come, first-served basis, with receipt of deposit finalizing all reservations. Payment types accepted include; Cash, check, and Visa/MasterCard (subject to a 5% service charge). Cedar Lodge & Balsam Lodge $500 per week - All other units $350 per week (balance due on arrival).

Taxes:
All Rentals are subject to 10% Sales and Room Tax.

Cancellations & Refunds:

Deposits are non-refundable. Refunds only if cancellation is rebooked for the same dates. No refunds for late arrivals or early departures.

Check-In/Out:
Check-in is Saturday at 3pm - Check-Out is Saturday at 9am

Fishing Boats:
14' Aluminum Fishing Boats $75 per week. Adult life jackets included. Northwoods Fishing boat $325 per week or $65 per day.

Pontoon Rentals:

Pontoons are rented weekly. They are only available to rent daily if not reserved for the week. (The fishing boats do not apply. They can be rented daily.) Adult life jackets included.

Deposit:

$250 deposit required to hold a reservation for pontoon rentals.

Damages:

A credit card damage deposit hold of $500 will be authorized to your credit card on the day your rental begins. The renter is responsible for any/all damage to the pontoon or motor/prop. The damage deposit hold will be released upon return of the pontoon rental as long as no damage has occurred and the pontoon is returned with a full tank of gas. 

Fuel:

Pontoons rentals will have a full tank of gas and must be returned with a full tank of gas. Renter will be charged the cost of gas plus an additional $10 fee if the pontoon gas tank is not returned full.

Age Requirements:

Driver must be 21 years of age and have a valid driver’s license.
